Konami Drops Hint about new Metal Gear Solid

by MixMasterLar 9. December 2008 19:19

Hey guys, Lar here. Found something while surfing through the vast world wide web that I found pretty intresting.

IGN has reported that Konami's Japan Production Wibsite has given a cryptic teaser as what the next Metal Gear will be.  The page has a Math Equation of an Upside-down "!" mark plus regular looking "!" mark equals Circle with smaller inverted "!" mark  at the top. The words "A Next Metal Gear is...." is displayed under it all. Doesnt make any sense, huh? Well take a look: http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/mgst/?ref=kjp_eng

(Sorry to not have hosted the picture on the site....we're having a few problems that will be ironed out shortly)

The first thing you should noticed is that the answer (The Circle and the small ! mark) looks alot like a power indicator---- something we've seen on a game system that MGS has never been on yet. The next thing you will undoubfully see is that it's all written in green. The undoubtfull solution that we're all coming to is Metal Gear for the Xbox 360---or maybe Metal Gear Solid 4? It wasnt that long Konami made a statement about looking for a way to have it ported...but it's still a guess. Konami has yet to give any website a comment about the messege and knowing them they most likely wont. Also keep in mind that while Green+ Xbox Logo might stand out there is still those two !s and the fact that one of them is inverted.....A crossover game? A Remake for a new console? there's a few ways to look at it and it may not meant Metal Gear Solid at all but a new arc. *EDIT Another thoery is that the picture is really "i+!" and not an inverted anything.... Could mean a pure LIVE Title?

We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear more.
